The band was honored to fill the air with the skirl of the bagpipes and beat of the drums this morning in the ballroom of Navy Pier as 218 new officers for the Chicago Police Department were sworn in.
"These officers are going to be agents of change needed for the City...who will do right by themselves and for the City of Chicago..." said Superintendent Johnson.
Ladies and gentleman, officers - congratulations. You now have a front row seat to the greatest show on Earth. Be careful out there.
